Poor lad! Kevin was playing only his sixth match for Roma because of that long time injury when he aggravated his injury further and was substituted at the 34th minute causing a big worry to the Roma fans.The long time target of Manchester United will probably go another surgery on the knees as the club officials reported.The club statement was that "Yesterday Kevin underwent further diagnostic procedures operated by professors Van Dijk and Kerkhoffs who have already helped him in the seven months rehabilitation period.The procedures has shown a mass of fibrous tissue known as cyclops syndrome and was advised to be removed immediately.So,Strootman will undergo the arthroscopic operation tomorrow in Amsterdam where the ligament will be assessed properly.
Though confirmed by the Roma officials as its a major issues but its a different story from the coach Rudi Garcia who have refused to talk about the injury and have played down the issue.
Then later this day all the doubt was cleared by none other than the player himself.Kevin Strootman tweeted from his official account that "I know that there's lot of speculation going on in the media about me so i want to clear the issues and explain to the Roma fans that while playing the match against Fiorentina i got knocked off due to which i had some bruises on my left knee.I am expecting to rest for two weeks within which i will a be operated so as to remove some scar tissues which have bothered me a bit after the past surgery and this will be helping me further to be playing better and getting back my old form.Its nothing serious and i will be back on the pitch as soon as possible".
