What will be the impact of Leicester city's triumph over EPL?

Have you ever thought what impact will it have on the premier league if Leicester wins it? A title for the foxes will undoubtedly enlighten the “fox-fans"  but certainly not the supporters from the other part of the country. In this staggering shush of the Premier League break, Leicester City is focusing exclusively on their unexpected title tilt.

As already out of FA Cup ties and European League contests, the Foxes have got all the time in the world to train themselves in a way to finally stand on the crest of so-called premier league giants and make their dream come true.

Although finishing line is far from sight as there are still 11 matches remaining in order to decide the trophy holders, Leicester city currently leads the table with a two-point gap over Tottenham Hotspur. But there is still a lot of milestones to be crossed by Claudio Ranieri’s team in order to finally drink the oasis of title triumph. 

The break has also given us the opportunity to pause and evaluate what, Leicester City title would mean for the Premier League. Looking at the history of the premier league, the last time any club have won their maiden premier league title was back in 1978, when Nottingham Forest lifted the famous trophy. Based on this fact, we can predict the thereafter condition of a Leicester City title and what historical seriousness this conjectural title would carry.

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez has been the main source of Leicester’s success and has contributed a total of 33 goals and 14 assists so far this season, which, in fact, is more than Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani. Not only the strikers but the defensive area of the club was well structured too, thanks to Robert Huth and Wes Morgan for their brilliant performances throughout the season so far. Midfield area was euphoric to where players like Albrighton and Kante did a good job.

With the heft of a history down the line, a Leicester City title victory would exuberantly troupe off every Premier League agreement we have ever come in to accept. This is the reason why this season is so revitalizing, it is like the blood is soaked out and pumped into the heart with a greater pressure which is being seen as an immediacy of success that may surpass all expectation and unquestionably jolts the whole world.

Leicester’s title-chasing success was not a mere coincidence but behind it, lies a bit of hard work and good timings, even if they finish second or third, the impression of Leicester’s current season will echo long after the season itself is over. 

But, what if we cut ourselves from these sentimental prognoses for a moment and focus on the effect it is having on English football. The current situation lasts an imprint of apathy and inconsistency of the English clubs throughout the season. Though it is agreeable that the title race is in the accelerating paddle throughout, but, on the other hand, it reflect poorly on the asset of the English league football. 

The decline of premier league football in both champion’s league and Europa league over the past 5 years is well known to both fans and experts all around the globe, and having one underdog team on the way to clinch the domestic title is definitely not the solution board members are looking for. But comparatively, this season is a little better than the previous one, where every English team were eliminated from Europe’s exclusive competition before the quarter-final stage. 

But the aforementioned words will certainly not bore the ears of the Leicester city’s fan base and why should it? Since their overall performance till now has been in the positive quadrants of the graph. A club with an overall market value of just 95 million euros fought and won against some of England’s finest football club. So, no matter what people says, Leicester City will return from their holiday well rested and refocused. Vardy will continue to run unremittingly and Mahrez will continue to dribble brilliantly and Ranieri’s men will keep on giving their 100% till their last breath.

And as far as the European footballing aristocracy, they may sound as how disdainful England have allowed audacious petite Leicester to do so well. For the next 11 games, a new history will be written either way. Leicester City’s next nine league matches are against teams currently outside the top five until they face Manchester United and finish with games at home to Everton and away to Chelsea.

Mourinho breaks Manchester united silence,says he will be back soon than expected.

“Is Mourinho going to be the successor of Van Gaal”, this simple statement has kept the world of football in an exhilarating stage. Manchester United’s recent performance has not been at par and with each passing day the possibility of Van Gaal’s departure from Old Trafford is moving closer. Though the former Chelsea boss has also been linked with a return to Inter Milan, but the possibility of him being the “Red Devil” boss is looking more obvious in the current situation.

Further spark has been ignited into the situation last week when Mourinho declared in public about his plan to be back in a top managing position within a span of two weeks. But, Mourinho has also expressed his fun time out of football and said that absence from a tight schedule has given him more opportunity to think about his future.

Recently in Singapore, he said: "If I have to return tomorrow, I return tomorrow.

“I always feel that it is better to wait and not to rush. It is better to wait for the right moment and the right move. I think starting next season with a new club and project is probably the best for me.”

“I read so many different things. One day they say 'yes' and another day they say 'no'. One other day they say I'm going to China, another day they say I'm going back to Italy.”

“I go to Milan and people say I'm going back to Inter. I'm here and people probably say I'm going to (the) Singapore national team. Every day new things are coming but the reality is I have no job and I am happy not to have a job.”

Well, looking at the condition of Manchester United's performance we are not much sure of their chances in this season  and the question of whether Van Gaal can really turn around things is highly in doubt but one's thing for sure that if the situation persists then Mourinho can be the potential replacement.

Why FC Barcelona have an advantage over Bayern Munich this time?

A total of 14 trophies including two La Liga titles and Champions league double in 2009 and 2011, yes these were the achievements that Barca had achieved under the reign of legendary Pep Guardiola. But, now according to the latest champions league semi-final draw Barca will be facing Guardiola’s current managed team FC Bayern Munich which will see Guardiola coming for the first time in camp Nou since he left four years ago.

It’s a quite heady-mix time for the Barcelona fans as they are finally preparing to defeat the man who has given them so much to be proud of. The whole FC Barcelona community waited three years for this game and finally it arrived in their doorsteps and the last thing that they have to do is “Seize the moment”. There are many speculations about the draw like who’s going to have the advantage this time after what happened 2 years before, when FC Bayern overpowered Barca’s domination with a 7-0 scoreline. But, this time I think it is Barca’s time to triumph and let me tell you why?

The new (Old) Barca!

Yes, Eto’o/Henry/Messi is now Messi/Suarez/Neymar. Previously, the old trident were generally being fed by the Xavi-Iniesta pair who had almost hands in all the goals for Barcelona back in those days but now the times have changed, though the ‘pair’ is still there in the squad but with Xavi’s growing age, their visionary ‘pair- power’ have never been the same. But, Barca now has Rakitic who has shown excellent form this season in the mid-field area and can be a valuable asset in the game against Bayern. The new trio hasn’t disappointed at-all in the recent years. Neymar with his ball-playing skills have always been a invariable attacking threat to the opponents and Suarez is an excellent dribbler of the ball and an skillful individual too who is quite professional when comes in ‘one on one’ situation and Messi is well ‘Lionel Messi’.

The revenge!

Defeats are like war-wounds and Barca’s wound has not yet been dried up, it is still as wide opened as it was two years before when Bayern beat them 7-0 and took advantage of a coach-less team, a team when it lacked most of its prime players, a team which was emotionally tired( the ‘Vilanova’ incident). But, this time the dice will played in a different way as the FC Barcelona squad is fully fit with an excellent coach and with no emotions tied up with them, just one thing in mind ‘the revenge must be taken’. Now that Barca has its chance, I hope the players will relish and anticipate the situation completely.

Magical Messi!

Well, why it always has to come down to this lad? Answer could be that he is the world’s best player but it is much more complex than that. Messi is well-known for his quick movements and dribbling skills and that’s exactly what will edge Barca a little bit ahead of their rivals Bayern in the tie up between the two giants. In recent years, opponents players have found a traditional way of stopping Messi, i.e either put four defenders on him or foul him but in the current season, Messi has mesmerized everybody with his true leadership qualities by giving everything he can to make his team win attitude, it is obligatory that the only person who can stop Messi is Messi.

Bayern is an excellent team and they too have individuals who can decide a game but true speaking they don’t have a player who can decide that ‘today will be the day that I will win this match for my team by being phenomenal’.

Bayern is an excellent team who has a strong squad and the most innovative coach in their backyard but they are not supernatural or unbeatable. If Bayern repeat the same mistake versus Barca as they made in the first leg against Porto, then it will be ‘game over’ for them but things can never be conventional in football, so both the team will have to be the very best in their games if they want to progress for the final.

Abidal-"Barca can win the treble"

Former Barcelona defender and French international Eric Abidal was present in the stands when Barca beat PSG to qualify for the semi-final spot in the UEFA Champions league. After the game, Abidal spoke earlier this day in the opening ceremony of his foundation which aims to improve the 'life of young cancer sufferers’. The 37 year old was full of appraisal for his ex-club FC Barcelona and feels that Barcelona have a good chance to win the treble this year but however it will be not an easy task.

Abidal retired from football last season and is currently working as an associate in the marketing department for the Olympiakos club, where he played his last few years. Abidal also expressed his desires to comeback and work for FC Barcelona in the near future. He believes, there are many similarities between his foundation aim and that of FC Barcelona’s and hopes to co-operate with each other in the near future.

Abidal’s words, “They work as hard as possible to achieve everything, They are in good form, they showed it yesterday against PSG and like each year, are favorites to win the Champions League. I hope that they can reach the final and lift the trophy, I know them and I know that it is one of the biggest objectives of the club.”

“They are always favorites and now they're playing well winning everything is possible but really difficult. They are in the good path.  People know Barça is my home but now my priority is the Foundation. I hope we can co-operate with Barça's Foundation. We share the same values”.

Eric Abidal has played a total of 125 games for the Catalonian side and was considered to be one of the best in his position.

"We have to give everything", says Guardiola

FC Porto’s win over German giants in the first leg of quarter finals was quite a shocking result and manager Pep Guardiola believes that his team has to work their sweat off in order to topple the 3-1 deficit and knock out FC Porto from the champions league. He further admits that the ‘Bundesliga leaders’ have to get an astounding result in the 2^nd leg of the quarter finals after slipping through a shocking defeat in Portugal last week.

In the first leg, Bayern Munich failed miserably in their defensive line and Porto took full advantage of the situation and capitalized on it to triumph the game. Quaresma scored twice in the opening 10 minutes of the game, out of which one was penalty. Bayern got their one back in the 27^th minute when Thiago netted, but Jackson Martinez capped the day for the Portugal giants by making the scoreline 3-1 in the 65^th minute.

FC Porto’s first leg result result means that they have extended their unbeaten run in the competition and is becoming a tough contender, while Bayern Munich have to find a way in their den if they want to reach the semi-final of the Champions league at all.

Guardiola in a recent prees conference said, “This is a big club, so you can’t say we are in a cosy situation, If you win, you’re a genius. If you lose, you have lots of problems but that’s the nature of my job. It isn’t enough to win the Bundesliga and the cup. Only a treble is enough for a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern but I am proud to be here with these players.”

Bayern Munich is currently dealing with lots of injury problem, with the likes of Robben, Ribery, Alaba, Benatia and Martinez are all out due to injuries but one good news is that Bastian Schweinsteiger is fit to play the game tonight in the Allianz Arena.

So, lets see whether Bayern Munich can do the impossible and reach the semi-finals of football's most elite competition.

"Louis Van Gaal may have to face Chelsea without Carrick"

The importance of Michael Carrick in Manchester United squad in recent weeks is incomparable as his visionary skills in the mid-field have played a key part in Manchester United’s consecutive six games success. But Louis Van Gaal may have to play against Chelsea without Carrick as the 33 year old caught up an injury in Sunday’s 4-2 win against Manchester City.

Carrick has been the 'soul' of the Red Devils as the Englishmen have opened many attacking position for the strikers and have created several goal scoring chances and his presence have made look United a completely different team. But the injury in the derby game has forced the mid-fielder to limp off late in the game.

It is a very sorry situation for both the team and the fans of Manchester United as Carrick's absence may be a great loss when the team faces Chelsea but in the modern day games injuries are normal and no-one can do anything about it. So, now the questions lies that who will replace Carrick’s position( if he is not playing) when united is travelling to west London?

Daley blind looks to be the perfect replacement for Carrick against the match with the league leaders as the Dutchman’s recent performance in the left-back has been at par and can uniformly play admirably in the middle of the park too. While, Luke Shaw can take the position in the left flank provided he recovers from his hamstring injury.

The fans are quite confident on the team as their recent run has been excellent with big wins against Tottenham, Liverpool and recently against noisy neighbors Manchester City. Carrick’s presence will no doubt enhanced the confidence a bit more but reports on his injury is yet unknown. Hopefully, the injury isn’t too severe and Carrick will be fit up to play the match at Stamford Bridge.

"Derby defeat made city fans hypocrites"

Well, when we speak about Derbies 'hatred' will always be the main divider between each other but this time City fans have taken a step further down and have performed a great act of disgracefulness. It was quite hard for City fans to swallow the sounding 4-2 defeat against Manchester United last Sunday but rather than attacking the players who let them to their defeat the fans quickly found a new target for their mistreatment, Manchester City’s women striker Toni Duggan.

Duggan’s big mistake was that she posted a picture in her instagram page right after the derby game, with her teammate Isobel Christiansen and Everton’s Michelle Hinnigan posing with Manchester United head coach Louis Van Gaal. The timing of the photo was not gleaming, and Toni immediately removed the photo from her instagram page as well as apologized consequently via her facebook page, but that doesn’t mean she deserves the bombardment of abuse that she has received from the fans of Manchester City.

Throughout the footballing world, Louis Van Gaal is acknowledged as one of the legendary figure. The former Ajax, Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss has great experience with him and have achieved everything there is to achieve and there was no reason why anyone doesn't want to meet the iconic figure and Toni Duggan was no exception. It is a deceitful act done by the city fans to put their aim to someone who had nothing to do with the defeat at Old Trafford.

Earlier this day, Toni have score a goal against Birmingham City for 'MCWFC' to help her team reaching the Women’s FA-Cup semi-final but despite that, the 450 fans who were present to see today’s game felt that they every right to show their grubby attitude towards the innocent striker and some even tried to attack her bodily. And perceptibly these are the people who I believe have no whatsoever interest in watching women’s team or supporting the city’s other side.

It was quite normal for the City’s fan to be angry after the defeat, anyone would be angry after a disappointing performance, but to aim their repugnance at a player who gives her all for the Manchester City’s Women team who the majority of the fans have never watched is nothing but an act of complete hypocrisy.

 It was an awful moment for the Women striker to post her photo at a bad time but the reaction from the City’s fans were more reprehensible than Duggan taking a picture with the Manchester United’s manager.

"Carrick is United's Iniesta", says Former Liverpool star.

United fans may find it quite amusing that it is now until, “34 year old Manchester United mid-fielder Michael Carrick is finally getting the appraisal from football world outside of old Trafford” as Jamie Redknapp, former Liverpool footballer and sky sports pundit joined the latest set of personalities to comment on Carrick’s talent and performance leveling him to Manchester United’s Andres Iniesta.

Jamie Redknapp was full of appraisal for the English mid-fielder and stated that ‘it was a criminal offence done by the English Football Association’, using Carrick so less at the international level. He further reveals that Carrick will be a key figure in the England squad to play at the EURO-16 next summer.

Carrick is acknowledged for being at ease when controlling a match and is prominent for creating better attacking position for the strikers with his visionary skills but his defensive side lags a bit which may have held him down. Former Boss and an iconic figure Sir Alex Ferguson went as far as to name him as the ‘best English mid-fielder in the country’ earlier this year. 

Carrick is generally a respectable figure within the walls of the Old Trafford walls but it is only now, when finally he is getting the credits for his talents.Getting compared to the stature of Iniesta’s class is indeed quite a admiring comment for the 34 year old Carrick, but it’s not only there where Redknapp stopped and the ‘Sky Pundit’ further continued, “They may not have the best stats for goals or assists, but they are at the heart of it all, he said last week. It’s the same with Andres Iniesta and Luka Modric, they keep things ticking over, as does Carrick. He makes the passes that lead to the key pass.”

Carrick’s fitness has been a major apprehension as because the player suffers most of season from injuries and it appears that his importance has been highlighted recently as after his return from the latest injury, United has seen 5 wins on a stretch including the 2-1 win at Anfield two weeks ago. "Arbeloa believes, FC Barcelona will slip-up points".

32 year old Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa believes that rival club FC Barcelona will be helddown in the coming games as they have a difficult schedule to run in and hopes that Carlo Ancelotti’s men can take advantage of a slightly light schedule and surpass the 4 points gap between the teams.

Los Blancos have fallen 4 points behind the Catalans with 9 games still to go in the league but the veteran defender of the club feels that they will manage to match Barcelona in the title race because Barca has comparatively a tougher schedule to play against than them.

Looking up at the upcoming matches, both the team are up-to face tough challenges against the likes of Sevilla and Valencia between now and the end of the season but the Catalans have to face one major game which is against the current title holders Atletico Madrid at the Estadio Vicente Calderon and the real Madrid full-back believes that the rival club will indeed slip-up.

According to Arbeloa, “Barcelona has a tougher schedule than we have, We aim to win all our remaining games. That is our goal, even though we know it will not be easy. Sometime you spill points when you least expect it. We have two important games in La Liga coming up before the Champions League match versus Atletico Madrid. We want to head into that game in good form, so we must beat Rayo Vallecano and Eibar. The 9-1 win over Eibar was a big boost. It has helped us focus.”

Real Madrid’s next fixture is against Rayo on Wednesday before playing Eibar at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

Smalling and Jones could be sold out for balancing FFP, says Paul Parker

Well, it’s a crystal clear fact that Manchester united generally lags behind in the defensive areas where they have failed to make an impact for a long amount of time, But in recent times the ‘Red Devils have been finally able to find a little stabilization in their back as Chris Smalling and Phil Jones the english internationals were starting to put some consistency in their performance. Yet, Ex-Legend Paul Parker have a different prospective and feels that Manchester United will probably let go off these two defensive duos in order to balance the financial books for the summer.

The 50 year old ex-English international believes that both Jones and Smalling are ‘valuable assets’ for Manchester united but still they are both dispensable for current manager Louis Van Gaal. Both the English defenders have improved vastly in the current season, with smalling being an ‘real asset’ to Manchester United’s defense with consistent performance in big games and to some point of the season Phil Jones have also shown assured performance at the heart of the defense.

Parker said, “United could sell Smalling and Jones to be on the right side of the Financial Fair Play Regulation”, “Both defenders are saleable assets-they are young England internationals who should attract attention from many clubs”.

But if hypothetically seen, the sales of the ‘two defenders’ will have nothing to do with the Financial Fair Play regulations, as the English club have recently tied up a 75 million euro deal sponsorship relations with Adidas and various others regional sponsors and TV revenue shares which will keep the club financially strong for the foreseeable future.

Well, there is no attestation about the fact whether these two ‘English duos’ will really leave Manchester United in the future,  but if Van Gaal is letting either of them go from Old Trafford, then it will be for footballing reason and not for Financial theories.

"Will Keane 'working hard' to make a Manchester United return"

Two years since a loan move away from Manchester united but still  21 year old 'Will Keane' never let go off his dream i.e playing first team football wearing the famous red shirt. The England under-21 international made his senior team debut for the Red Devils under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2011 but fall short of ‘class’ to impress the legendary icon and since have been loan transferred to Wigan Athletic for the better improvement of his performance.

Though Keane has not been able to perform much well in the previous two season with Wigan Athletic and Queens Park rangers, but the lad has shown some impressive performance this season with Sheffield Wednesday and is out to convince current Manchester united manager Louis Van Gaal of his capabilities by netting three goals in 10 appearances.

Will Keane’s twin brother Mike was also a former academy player of Manchester United, but have a now signed a permanent deal with Burnley, while ‘Will’ have set his eyes on a Manchester United return. Here what ‘Will’ said to a local news Channel,

“It's been good experience for me as, up to now, I've been playing in every game which has been pleasing. It's the reason I came here to get games under my belt. I think maybe this is a bit more like reality here because you get caught in a little bubble at United. Only a certain number of clubs have those facilities and you can take it for granted a bit at times. It's a different experience and something I've taken to. I've got to enjoy the challenge.”

“My aim is to hopefully come back to United and be involved in the set-up there. That's what I set out to do. At the moment, I'm here until the end of the season and want to give everything here. Hopefully, I can keep playing well and scoring goals and then reassess the situation at the end of the season. My aim is to get in the Premier League, hopefully with United, and I'll have to see how the squad is at the end of the season, speak to the manager and take it from there.”

“By playing well here (for Sheffield Wednesday), it will help me get recognized. I keep in touch and speak to Warren (Joyce) quite regularly. He's very keen to keep an eye on the games, which is good, and I speak to him after them. He gives me tips on what I can do better and these general chats help me. "Di Maria's action was 'not so smart',says Van Gaal"

‘Salts in the wounds’, as everybody was expecting that United will not let go off their only chance to win any silverware this season which was the FA Cup but in a great turnaround of events, Manchester united got a setback in the hand of their arch-rivals Arsenal in the quarterfinal itself with a 2-1 defeat. And it was not only the defeat, but Di Maria’s red card on the 77th minute was also a highlighting point in the match.

Manager Louis Van Gaal was not at all happy with the Argentine forward as he picked up the second yellow card for toggling referee Michael Oliver. The 63 year old Dutch manager conclude that Di Maria’s behavior was ‘not so smart’ in the post match conference. Van Gaal criticized Di Maria’s attitude and said it was not the aggressiveness but the frustration that earned him the red card seconds after he received his first yellow card for a diving incident.

Van Gaal said, "Angel Di Maria knows that he doesn't have to touch the referee," so that is not so smart of him but to control emotion is not so easy in such a match. I have mentioned it also before the match because I know that these kinds of matches a red card is easy. He knows that he doesn't have to touch the referee. He knows that. Every player knows that."

Di Maria is the most expensive player in British football and was transferred from Real Madrid last summer for a fee 59.7 million euro which is British transfer record.

Van Gaal further added, “In Spain he knows that he doesn't touch the referee, but that is also in his emotion. I've already spoken with him, he knows my opinion but also I have to see on the video. I think he's touched the referee and that's forbidden in every country, so he has no excuses."

Manchester United manager have also accepted that the 2-1 defeat in the hands of Arsenal was a huge setback for the team, but insisted that his team will come out of this setback and show better performances as Manchester united is looking for a top four finish.

"Giggs Should leave United for his own future, says Scholes"

One of the greatest mid-fielder and former Manchester United player Paul Scholes believes his ex-teammate Ryan Giggs will not wait long enough to be in-charge of his own first team players. Scholes, who have played many years alongside Giggs have a feeling that Giggsy certainly will not wait for another season or two to see his future possibilities at Old Trafford.

Scholes indicated in his last interview with Mirror that “There’s no doubt, he had that little taste of it for the last three weeks of last year and he definitely wants to be a manager. You can see that. Over the next two or three years, will he have the patience to be a number two for that long? I’m not sure he will. Scholes also believes that Giggs has the full capability to manage his own first eleven, but feels that waiting until current Manager Louis Van Gaal step aside will be a big gaffer for Giggsy.

It is not only Scholes who is expecting to see Giggs in a top position, but another ex-teammate also feels the same way; it’s none other than former Newcastle United and Manchester United striker Michael Owen who has similar kind of opinion about the 40 year old Giggs.

With the possible chances, Giggs himself has indicated that he will not hesitate to take another opportunity to seat in the driver’s seat if the opportunity comes in the right way and in the right time. But Giggs didn't sound as confident as his companions Scholes and Owen were about him, as Giggs commented on the situation that  “So whenever that time comes, I don’t know when it will be, but all I can do is prepare myself. I’m serving my apprenticeship again. That’s the way I see it.”

But the main factor that everyone believes will drive away Giggs from Manchester United sooner than he’d like is the unstable relationship with the current Manager Louis Van Gaal. 'Steven Gerrard planning to build new House despite moving to America this summer'

Steven Gerrard is moving to US on loan next season, but that didn't stop him to buy a 0.57 hectare land to build his new home on the Merseyside. Gerrard who have represented England 114 times is considered to be one of the best midfielder in the world earmarked the whole world after his ‘plan’ of building a new home on the place he is about to leave on this summer. It is also been assumed that 34 year old may return to Premier league once finishing his scheduled playing time in America.

The multi-million pound house will have five bedrooms on the upper level, along with a leisure area with swimming pool. It will also have ground floor with four reception room, a Cinema, gym and ‘plant room’ are also included in the proposed building plan. There will also be staff and guest accommodation and a garage space for two cars.

As far as now, it’s not clear whether Gerrard is planning to sell his current house, but the Gerrard family this summer is going to shift to Beverly Hills in California, where the Liverpool captain is going to play for LA Galaxy following the footsteps of his country mate David Beckham.

Gerrard stunned the whole Liverpool FC community by announcing his departure from the club after the end of the season, bringing down a 28-years association to a close. Gerrard have played 497 times for Liverpool as of now scoring around 117 goals and have also helped Liverpool achieve many great feats in football history.

Council Bosses said a decision regarding the building plan was due shortly on the application, which does not need to go before a committee for approval and a spokesman for Gerrard have declined to comment on the planning application.

'5 Points which can help Arsenal Progress after the 3-1 loss against Monaco'

The defeat against AS Monaco have surely made the task a bit heavier for Arsenal in the 2nd leg, if at all they want to progress to the next round of Champions league. Yes, it’s time to bring back the polish international after David Ospina failed to convince his form in the first leg , failing to stop the three goals against the French side, especially the third and much easier to save goal which was scored by Monegasque. So, Arsene must consider Wojciech in the 2nd leg in order for a possible victory against the French side.

Have More Patience

Arsenal have bad habit of concentrating more on attacking rather than focusing on their defensive strategies, which leads them to a subsequent ‘sucker punch’ in their face. Arsenal needs almost 3 goals in the 2nd leg in order to qualify but that doesn’t mean that they have to get those goals within the first 15 or 20 minutes. There should be some stability between their attacking ambition and the defensive strategy, and that balance will only be the turning point for them.

Play Monreal instead of Gibbs

It was a big mistake when Mr. Wenger chose to play Gibbs over Nacho Monreal in the first leg, when the Spaniard was in the peak of his form. As we know that Gibbs has a tendency to get caught up the pitch, so selecting him was nothing but a gamble that didn’t pay off well. So, If Arsenal wants to win the second leg by a margin of 3 goals they need to play their best man in form.

So, this will be the five points that I think Arsenal Should keep in mind and must implement if possible, so that they can have the score-line which can help them progress to the next round of the tournament.
